I am an experienced, qualified psychosexual therapist, individual and couple psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist.
I trained and qualified at Tavistock Relationships, the most recognised international institute for training, research, and couple relationships.
My commitment to upholding the highest standards in my practice is reflected in my membership of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (RegCOSRT), and my professional membership of the European Society of Sexual Medicine (ESSM). These affiliations ensure that I adhere to the field's best practices and ethical standards.
In addition, I offer therapy in-person and virtually.
I also provide therapy in Farsi.
Psychodynamic Relationships Counselling and Psychotherapy is based on relational psychoanalysis, which illustrates the impact of our early experiences on our capacity to bond and maintain relationships. Couple relationships can bring up past traumas from childhood or past relationships.
Common issues couples may face include:
For individuals, it may be:
Psychosexual Therapy is a cognitive behavioural program which is structured and includes exercises and homework, besides working through the psychological causes.
Sexual dysfunction can affect one's mental health and personal and social life. Therefore, do not shy away; look after yourself by seeking help. The list below contains some more common sexual dysfunctions.
I understand that problems related to intimacy are sensitive and personal. Sometimes, it takes years before we find the courage and hope to seek help. Therefore, I offer my sessions in a confidential, contained, and engaging setting. You will feel understood and supported throughout the process.
Furthermore, my online counselling service is confidential, secure and available for individuals and couples. It can also be used by couples who reside separately, even abroad.
work experience
I began my training at Tavistock in 2011, and started my clinical work in 2013 as part of that training. I qualified in 2015 and worked as a visiting clinician and assessor at Tavistock until 2020. Since 2016, I have been running my private practice, supporting many couples and individuals with their relationship difficulties.
My interest in understanding my clients' intimacy and sexual concerns led me to undertake further study in psychosexual therapy at Tavistock. I proudly qualified in 2020 as a psychosexual therapist.
Alongside my private practice, I volunteered for two years as a psychosexual therapist in an NHS group therapy program supporting individuals experiencing vaginismus.
It was also a privilege to support the refugee couples and families at New Citizens' Gateway from 2018 to 2024.
